Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. This position involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations in critical care settings.

Shift Details

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend requirement, subject to change as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proficient care in Adult Critical Care settings.
• Perform extubation and nasal airway placements.
• Administer suctioning, oral airway placement, and oral suctioning.
• Conduct pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection.
• Manage tracheostomy care.
• Administer medications via various delivery methods, including aerosol setups and nebulizers.
• Utilize high-flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, and deliver BiPaP and CPAP solutions.
• Troubleshoot high pressure alarms and assist in weaning patients from mechanical ventilation.
• Document patient care and observations using EPIC charting system.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification in South Carolina.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is mandatory.
• Proficient in charting with at least 1 year of experience in the EPIC system.

Floating Requirements

Although efforts will be made to keep staff in their home unit, agency staff may be required to float to other units or locations when necessary, limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.

Call Off Policy

The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks.
