NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are currently seeking experienced NICU Registered Nurses to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care to neonatal patients.

Unit Information

• Unit Level: NICU
• Number of Beds: 34
• Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3-4
• Common Diagnoses: Patients as young as 24 weeks gestation; no surgical services, cooling, or ECMO available.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including in-house neonatologists and advanced practice providers available 24/7
• Perform assessments and monitor patient conditions
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) drips, including insulin and dopamine
• Participate in charge nurse duties during night shifts
• Facilitate effective communication with families regarding patient care
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: NRP, BLS
• Experience: Recent NICU experience required.
• Ability to float to postpartum as needed.

Additional Information

• Scheduling: Schedules are completed in six-week blocks and posted two weeks prior to the start of each block.
• Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Work on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Shifts: Night shifts available.
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation provided.
• Monitor Technology: Phillips cardiac monitors used on the unit.
• Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7.
• IV Team: Dedicated NICU PICC team available.
