Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a neonatal setting. The successful candidate will work nights on a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts. The position requires dedicated professional care for patients in a Level 3 NICU with expertise in neonatal transport and resuscitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in a Level 3 NICU environment.
• Participate in neonatal transport and demonstrate competencies in attending deliveries and neonatal resuscitation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Attend to critically ill neonates and provide urgent and complex care as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Epic.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate Degree (A.S.) in Nursing or equivalent: Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing: Preferred
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years NICU experience: Required
  • Previous neonatal transport experience: Preferred
  • Experience attending deliveries for neonatal resuscitation: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current RN license in the state of practice: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Required
  • RNC or CCRN certification: Preferred

Shift Details

This position is for night shifts, specifically from 1900 to 0730, on a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts each week. Voluntary call may be an aspect of this role.

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate must have experience working with Epic for patient record management. Strong clinical skills in neonatal nursing and resuscitation techniques are critical for success in this role.
