Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) to join our team in a busy and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience across all areas of sterile processing and demonstrate proficiency in the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct decontamination of medical instruments and equipment, including drills, surgical robots, and endoscopic scopes.
• Assemble surgical instruments across all service lines, which includes trauma and loaner equipment, ensuring proper peel packaging.
• Manage the sterilization process utilizing Sterrad and steam sterilization methods.
• Demonstrate high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope handling expertise.
• Maintain sterile storage areas, ensuring proper organization and compliance with standards.
• Act as a liaison with the operating room (OR) to facilitate communication and service delivery.
• Utilize the Censitrac tracking system for instrument and equipment management.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar sterile processing environment.
• Certification as CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) is preferred.
• Ability to float to other locations as required.
• Availability for night shifts, Monday to Friday, from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional scheduled holidays.
