Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians to join our team. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and adherence to protocols are critical. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in sterile processing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of various surgical instruments and equipment, including drills, robotic systems, and endoscopes.
• Assembly and preparation of all instruments across service lines, ensuring proper packaging and sterilization.
• Execution of sterilization processes, including both steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilization methods.
• Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope processing.
• Management of sterile storage environments to maintain optimal conditions.
• Collaboration with Operating Room staff and providing liaison support as needed.
• Utilization of Censitrac tracking system for instrument management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar sterile processing department.
• Certification from CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) is required.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a Level One trauma facility environment.
• Flexibility to float to various locations as required.
• Willingness to work scheduled holidays as needed.

Shift Information

This position requires availability for a 12-hour day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Friday through Sunday.

Additional Information

Candidates who reside within a certain radius of the location may not be eligible for this position. Current contractors are permitted to complete their existing contracts up to a specified duration.
