Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The position seeks an RN with Med-Surge experience, starting on December 10, 2026. Training will commence on December 3, 2026. This role involves working night shifts as a Float Nurse on the Med-Surge floor, with the potential for Emergency Department coverage as needed.

Shift Information

Shifts will be from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM. Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Experience Required

• At least 2 years of Med-Surge nursing experience

Certifications and Requirements

• Active Alaska RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred

Housing Information

Housing is provided and paid for, with options for shared or private accommodations, depending on availability. The housing is conveniently located within half a mile of the hospital and close to town amenities. Note that pets are not allowed.

The position is situated in a small fishing community known for its outdoor activities, including hiking trails, skiing, and fishing opportunities. The winter climate is mild, with temperatures typically ranging from the 20s to 30s, and occasional colder snaps. Daily flights are available, providing easy access to travel connections.
