Schedule

12-hour shifts rotating days, evenings, and nights. Accommodations for 48 hours per week are also available.

Job Duties

The Operating Room (OR) provides care for a diverse range of patients across multiple specialties, including:

• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• Plastics
• Urology
• Cardiac
• Neurosurgery
• Vascular Surgery
• Ophthalmology
• Gynecology
• Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
• Thoracic Surgery
• Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery
• Trauma Care (Level 1 Trauma Center)

The OR is equipped with two Da Vinci surgical robots utilized by multiple services, supporting a transplant program involving liver, kidney, and heart transplants.

Job Requirements

• NBSTSA Certification or a cumulative experience of one year or more as a Surgical Technologist within a healthcare facility, occurring within the four years prior to January 2015.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Operating Room is required.
• Prior operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma setting is preferred.
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures is essential.

Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
