Pharmacist Inpatient

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join our acute care pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology, including inpatient or outpatient experience, and be proficient in IV training and medication preparations, both hazardous and non-hazardous.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to oncology patients.
• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with established protocols.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in clinical reviews and assessments to align with patient care objectives.
• Administer medication therapies and monitor patient responses.

Schedule Requirements

• 40 hours per week, generally between 6 AM and 7 PM.
• Every 3rd or 4th Saturday shift from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Holidays

Travelers will be expected to work 2 of the 3 major upcoming holidays: Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. For contracts covering only two of these holidays, the expectation is to work 1 of the 2 holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient pharmacy.
• Current Pennsylvania state pharmacy license is required.
• Experience with EPIC Beacon software is required.

• Ability to care for COVID patients as required.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility; please notify prior to submission if this is a concern.
• Willingness to float between facilities as needed within a two-mile radius.
