Pharmacist Inpatient

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our inpatient pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have experience in oncology, including both inpatient and outpatient settings, and will be proficient in IV medication preparation, including hazardous and non-hazardous medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in accordance with established guidelines.
• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Participate in clinical reviews and patient consultations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications and clinical best practices.

Schedule Requirements

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with working hours between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Additionally, every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM is required.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers will be expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays: Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. If the contract includes only 2 of these holidays, the traveler will be expected to work 1 of the 2 holidays.

Candidates should not request more than 1 holiday off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Active Pennsylvania state license is required.
• Experience with EPIC Beacon is necessary.
• IV trained with experience in hazardous and non-hazardous medication preparations.

Additional Information

• The role may include care for COVID patients.
• This is a tobacco and fragrance-free facility. Candidates are encouraged to notify any travelers prior to submission.
• Travel between locations may be required, with the possibility of floating to nearby facilities.

RTO and Weekend Requirements

Requests for time off (RTO) are limited to a maximum of 7 days. Weekends will require work every 3rd or 4th Saturday.
