Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for nurses who are adept at providing exceptional care to patients of all ages in an emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Manage an average daily census of 130-150 patients, accommodating up to 31 beds across 21 rooms.
• Maintain an efficient patient-nurse ratio of 1:4/5.
• Utilize the OMNICELL medication system for medication administration.
• Document patient care and interactions using Cerner.
• Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating basis, specifically Friday and Saturday nights.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the emergency department is required.
• First-time travelers with 2-3 years of experience and familiarity with Epic or Cerner will be considered.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory.

Orientation & Support

New hires will undergo an orientation period lasting between 36-48 hours to ensure a smooth transition into our team. Scrubs will be provided during this time.

Working Conditions

This position entails working 3×12-hour shifts from 15:00 to 03:00 in a community hospital setting, providing care for complex medical patients across diverse age groups.
