Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic procedures and utilizing specialized equipment to capture images for the interpretation and diagnosis of medical conditions.

Shift Information

• Day shifts available: 5×8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) or 4×10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with department protocols.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patient reactions.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and fellow technologists to improve workflow and patient care.
• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Qualifications

• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
• Previous experience in nuclear medicine preferred but first-timers are welcome to apply.

Special Requirements

• No local candidates considered beyond a 50-mile radius.
• Return staff must be away for at least one year before returning as a traveler.
• Only two contracts allowed, with a mandatory six-month absence before reapplying.

Additional Information

Hours are guaranteed according to a call-off policy of 2 shifts per 13-week assignment. Once the policy is met, all hours based on contracted shifts are secure. Requests for time off will be evaluated at the manager’s discretion.

Charting System

Familiarity with Epic charting software is preferred.
