Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in orthopedics and general surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the medical surgical unit.
• Administer IV medications and perform IV starts as necessary.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage telemonitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in charge responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing experience in medical surgical settings required.
• Strong orthopedic experience is essential; experience with total hips and knees is a plus.
• General surgery experience is also required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
• Must hold a Kansas State or Compact License.
• Rural health experience is advantageous.

Shift Information

This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend.

Patient Care Ratios

The average patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1, with opportunities to provide more individualized care.

Additional Skills

• Ability to start IVs and manage telemonitoring duties.
• Charge experience is preferred.
