Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations.

Work Schedule

The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with nights and 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30). Every other weekend commitment is necessary, and no schedule requests can be accommodated. The schedule may be subject to change based on facility needs.

Holidays

The Registered Nurse is expected to work during major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. The major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant unit; first-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
• Must have full compliance with credentialing requirements to start on time.
• Ability to float within the facility as needed, adhering to the scope of practice.

Additional Information

Travel nurses are expected to work and adapt to varying schedules and roles as required within the PCU. Local candidates are also accepted at the same rate.

Please note that the number of non-billable orientation hours will vary based on the length of the assignment.
