Surgical Technologist (Allied)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with a minimum of two years of recent experience in the specialty. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Schedule

This position features a varying schedule from 7 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and ensuring that surgical instruments are sterile and available.
• Support the surgical team by providing necessary supplies and instruments during procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment in the surgical unit.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure effective patient care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards of practice within the surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in the relevant specialty.
• Required: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: NBSTA or NCCT certification.

Holiday Requirements

The selected candidate must be available to work during two major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, as well as one minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
