Mammography Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in mammography and be able to perform both screenings and diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced mammography procedures.
• Conduct bone density tests and biopsies as required.
• Work with patients to ensure comfort and safety during procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures performed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
• Potentially travel between multiple locations within the region.

Shift Information

This position typically follows a schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with possible shifts from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM to accommodate a standard 40-hour workweek. Availability for additional hours may be possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mammography, including screenings and diagnostics.
• Current Massachusetts license is required.
• BLS Certification and Certified Mammography Technologist – ARRT (M) verification are mandatory.
• Completion of at least 200 mammography procedures within the last 2 years.
• Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must be current and documented.
• Experience with bone density tests and biopsies is preferred but not a strict requirement.

Additional Information

While the primary focus is 32 hours per week, candidates willing to work up to 40 hours are encouraged to apply. Overtime opportunities are available as needed.

Start date is anticipated for October.
