Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with NICU experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and support within the neonatal intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Competently perform essential skills including Central Line, PICC, and Umbilical line placements.
- Manage various forms of oxygen delivery, including N/C, High flow, CPAP, NIV, and Ventilator.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Provide care to patients requiring G-Tubes and Trach, where applicable.
- Support nursing staff and float to inpatient units when necessary.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license in Ohio.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience; greater than 2 years preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR and NRP certifications required.
- Experience handling pediatric patients and critical care scenarios.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule & Requirements
- Work is scheduled in 12-hour shifts, covering days from 07:00 to 19:00.
- Weekend shifts are required, typically every third weekend, subject to unit needs.
- Flexibility to float to other inpatient units as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with G-Tubes and Tracheostomy care (not mandatory).
- Prior experience in a Level I or Level II trauma setting is an advantage.
