Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Position Overview
This role involves providing exceptional patient care by utilizing nursing knowledge and skills throughout the nursing process. The incumbent is responsible for delivering individualized patient outcomes across the entire episode of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families or caregivers.
- Diagnose and address human responses to health problems with a focus on optimal patient care.
- Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Coordinate care effectively with other professionals as necessary.
- Utilize scientific knowledge and pursue ongoing learning to enhance patient care.
- Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial awareness relevant to the specific populations served.
Qualifications
- Active NV RN license required prior to commencement of employment.
- Current certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS required.
- A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience is required.
- Prior travel nursing experience with at least one 13-week assignment is necessary.
Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced and extremely busy setting, delivering care to a diverse patient population across a wide geographical area. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center with a high volume of emergency and trauma cases.
Additional Information
Travelers may float to various needs within the organization up to their competency level. There may be requirements to work during major holidays and to pick up an additional shift every four weeks. The schedule is subject to change based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts. The facility reserves the right to manage staffing according to patient census, which may lead to shift cancellations with prior notice.
