ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract Overview

This is a 15-week contract position for an experienced ICU/CCU Registered Nurse with a hard start date of December 14th. This role requires working night shifts with a schedule of 3×12 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU/CCU setting.
• Administer emergency medications and manage procedures such as sedation and blood product administration.
• Monitor patients using FloTrac/Vigileo systems, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage multi-system organ failure.
• Administer IV insulin protocols and manage both chronic and acute renal failure patients.
• Perform EKGs and interpret ABGs, maintaining proficiency in arterial and central line management.
• Assist with ventilator management and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) treatment.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions.
• Participate in supplemental care procedures such as phlebotomy and care of surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU/CCU setting.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB or VIP, and NIHSS.
• Proficiency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and managing emergency situations.
• Ability to float to DOU, Tele or Med Tele as needed.
• Every other weekend availability is required; willingness to work holidays.

Please note that RTO (Requests Time Off) must be submitted and confirmed upon application, with no changes permissible after submission, except for cancellations. There is a maximum allowance of 3 days RTO during the contract period, and no RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of assignment.
