Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric ICU (PICU)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients and their families while working within a supportive and dynamic healthcare team.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in intensive care.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and wellness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a PICU or similar environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Proficiency in using EPIC for patient documentation and care management.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including night and day schedules, as well as holiday shifts.
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.

Shift Requirements

This position requires working four 12-hour shifts, either during the night or the day. Staff will rotate between day and night schedules, ensuring no shift rotations occur within the same week. A commitment to working a minimum of two holidays per year is also expected.
