Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering holistic care to patients and their families within the Emergency Room setting. The role emphasizes the execution of nursing standards and competencies in line with assigned service areas. The RN’s scope of practice encompasses the care of a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults throughout their life cycles.

The RN will engage in the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop nursing diagnoses.
• Identify patient outcomes and create comprehensive plans of care.
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other healthcare providers.
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making to enhance nursing practices.
• Actively promote exceptional patient care and improve practice standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of travel experience in the Emergency Room.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Experience working with all patient populations in a trauma Level IV environment.
• Proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system.
• Demonstrated ability to execute comprehensive care and adapt based on unit-specific clinical skill requirements.

The RN will work a 36-hour week with a commitment to every other weekend. This position does not require on-call duties.
