ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide critical care to patients in an intensive care unit setting, with the possibility of floating to progressive care and neuroscience units as needed. The position offers blocked scheduling for 3×12-hour shifts, with every other or every third weekend required based on traveler preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the ICU environment, managing critically ill patients.
- Float between various units including CVTU, Telemetry, ICU, NPCU, MPCU, and SPCU as necessary.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, specifically in an ICU setting.
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, management of arterial lines, and ventilator care is required.
Work Schedule
Shift hours are from 19:00 to 07:30. Blocked scheduling is available, and the manager is open to discussing preferred days of the week during the interview process.
