Job Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in accordance with established standards and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff, while also coordinating care with other healthcare disciplines. Critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment are essential in this position.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Experience in an acute care facility: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor as per policy: Required

Essential Functions

• Collect, analyze, and evaluate relevant patient health data.
• Develop and implement care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
• Coordinate care delivery while promoting a safe and healthy environment.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress towards goals.
• Engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee the duties of healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
