NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The NICU Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to newborns requiring intensive medical attention. This role involves floating between various units as necessary and managing patients with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to infants in the NICU.
• Manage patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:3, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and communicate effectively.
• Monitor and assess the health status of newborns, recognizing changes in symptoms or conditions.
• Educate families on care requirements and health conditions of their infants.

Scheduling Details

• Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Weekends: Required on a variable basis
• No on-call requirements
• Block schedules are not required

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Contract Details

• 46 hours and 26-week contracts are available.
• Alternative 13-week contract at 36 hours per week will be considered to aid in recruitment.
• 48-hour contracts are also approved.
