NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This position is essential in supporting the health and recovery of our youngest patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients, focusing on their individual needs and sustaining their overall well-being.
• Monitor vital signs and assess the condition of patients, implementing appropriate interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans based on best practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing them with information and support throughout their child’s care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with established protocols.

Position Details

• Floating Requirement: Yes, this position requires floating between units as needed.
• Weekends: Variable weekend shifts are required.
• Shift: Night shift, 4×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00).
• Patient Ratios: Expected ratios are 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3.
• Contracts: Approved contracts include 48 hours for 26 weeks; consideration for a 13-week, 36-hour contract may also be available to assist with recruitment.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with patients and family members.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required.
