Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Overview

This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, capable of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting is required.
• Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgeries is preferred; candidates may be screened based on skills in these areas.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems; experience with Epic is required.
• Must be available to work on weekends and major holidays, a requirement of three out of five holidays.
• Must be open to on-call duties as required.

Additional Information

• Weekend shifts may exceed the standard every other weekend requirement to meet unit needs.
• Local radius for applicants is 50 miles.
• Guarantee of hours includes potential for call-offs once per two-week pay period.
