Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team. The position is for a 13-week assignment, providing care in a Med Surg unit with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med Surg setting.
• Monitor and assess patient health conditions, implementing appropriate care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize electronic health records systems effectively to document care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and ongoing care needs.

Shift Details

This position offers day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Candidates should be prepared for a full-time commitment with the opportunity for 48 hours per week scheduling requests.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (may be pending at submission).
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records is preferred.
• Candidates must have a permanent address located more than 50 miles from the assignment location.
