Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our outpatient surgery center. The RNFA will provide essential support during surgical procedures and contribute to the overall operation of the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to facilitate effective surgical outcomes.
• Float to the main operating room as needed to provide assistance and support.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care and education.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical techniques and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA).
• Current certification as a CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room).
• Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Active Massachusetts state nursing licensure; conditional licenses may also be accepted.

Schedule

Day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility to float as required.

Start Date

Position available to start as soon as possible.
