Mammographer

The Mammographer plays a vital role in the healthcare team by performing specialized radiographic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. This position offers opportunities for direct patient care and participation in quality and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized mammographic imaging procedures under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services.
• Collaborate with radiologists to facilitate effective diagnosis and treatment.
• Engage in direct patient care, addressing complex and sensitive issues that may arise with patients and their families.
• Participate in facility quality and safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to local and federal regulations.
• Provide quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license or certification required for practice as a Mammographer.
• Completion of relevant training programs or certifications in mammography.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Certifications and Training

• Employees must comply with required health screenings and immunizations, including:

• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• TB Test and Negative Chest X-Ray if indicated
• Tdap Vaccination

• Criminal background check will be conducted.
