Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in labor and delivery units within large hospital settings. This position requires the ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Perform sterile vaginal examinations and monitor fetal heart rates.
• Circulate during deliveries and support the delivery team as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure positive outcomes for patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate required; AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• Ability to work weekends as needed according to unit demands.
• All scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.
• Local candidates preferred within a radius of 50 miles.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 3×12 hour shift, primarily during the day from 07:00 to 19:30.
