Registered Nurse – Step Down (Nursing)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Step Down unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and be equipped with strong clinical skills to manage a variety of patient conditions.

Unit Information

The Step Down unit comprises 16-10 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The unit specializes in treating patients with conditions such as:

• Sepsis
• Heart Failure
• Hypertensive Emergency
• Respiratory Failure
• COPD
• Chronic Kidney Disease
• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
• Substance Abuse
• Encephalopathy

Patients may require treatment involving Heparin Drips among other interventions.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a step-down or critical care setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Mandatory Holiday Coverage

Travelers must be available to work during the holiday season. This includes:

• Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving
• Either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
