Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Flex Pool. The RN will float between various medical and surgical units, providing high-quality care to patients while adapting to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Shift Information

• 12-hour shifts – Days (0645 to 1915)
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Current Hawaii nursing license required by the start of the assignment
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC)

Job Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will perform various duties within multiple units, including:

• Floating to the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit
• Utilizing equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes

Patient Care

The nurse will be responsible for maintaining patient safety and providing compassionate care, adhering to the following nurse-to-patient ratios:

• Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights
• Laulima Unit: 1:6
• Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs, is required.

Training and Orientation

An orientation program will be provided for each unit to ensure nurses are well-prepared for their roles.
